Parent Teacher Association

Our college has a powerful and active PTA which supports and gives good suggestions and sometimes involves decision making. PTA executives consist of about 45 to 48 members with Principal as President, Vice President from parents, Secretary(Staff), Joint Secretary(Parent), Treasurer(Staff), all HOD’s, One staff member from each department and 30 elected parents – 2 from each class. Besides office superintendent, NCC officer, NSS program officer, Librarian and Hostel warden are part of Executive Committee. Our PTAhas a prominent role in the academics, extra curricular activities, infra structure development and decision making processes in our college.

◦ Language lab – Purchase 6 systems server and 7 headsets
◦ Common internet lab – 10 Systems
◦ Android lab CT department – 5 systems
• Setting language lab
• Supply a industrial fan to workshop classses
• Conduct a seminar on ‘Focus for future and Personal empowerment’ by Sri. Mersi Varghese to the 2nd and 3rd year students
• Repair computer systems of ME, CE dept and office.
• Solve lighting problems in library
• Decided to strengthen class PTA
• Decisions were taken to improve results
• Given sent off to the staff member retired on march 2018 ( Sri. D Sasidharan Pillai, ME Dept)
• Meet the expenditure for setting the fire and safety arrangement in the college as per AICTE norms
• Gave scholarship to 10 students 2/branch
• Repair Auditorium for conducting physical education and yoga class
• Insuring 1st year students and renew Insurement of 2nd and 3rd year students
• Conducted counselling session to 1st year students and parents – A seminar taken by Sub Inspecter Pandalam – Drugs consumption among students
• Purchased 30 chairs for language lab and 20 chairs to CAD lab
• Decided to conductelection in parliamentary mode
• Promote sports and games by giving fund to meet ______ facilities to students participated in zonel and statelevel competions

• Construction works of new shelves in libray going on

• Steps were taken to solve the difficulties due to the shortage of bus services in this area
